Axel Korban, photo by Brenda Lou Schaub, 2021
Axel Korban
Axel Korban (born in 1989 in Marseille, France) lives and works in Brussels. For several years, Axel Korban combines a prolific photographic production to a research on digital forms, leading him to design virtual set designs alongside installation works. Through contamination and contiguity, his practice enables a process of image digestion, exploring shapes and forms derived from computer-generated imagery. He currently investigates the linguistic components of sculptural and architectural elements to channel intimate feelings of negotiation and displacement owed to his Syrian-Lebanese/Mediterranean family background.
